I
have been a certified massage therapist since 1996. My business, Mainline Therapeutic Massage & Spa opened in 1997. I studied at Massage Arts and Sciences and graduated at the top of my class. My love of this artful holistic medicine drew me to continue studying. I am educated in deep tissue, swedish, myofascial release, neuromusclar tissue, reflexology, pre and post natal, viseral, cranial, lymph drainage, thai-yoga and many more. As my staff grew I was able to get my estitician license in 2006. Having a great love of education and the desire to master my art, I continued studies in aging skin, roseasa, acme, chemical peels, body wraps, waxing, and spray tanning.
W
hen I began my career in health I was addicted to smoking. After being hypnotised in 2000 I was instantly free. This was so amazing to me that I went on to study with the American Guild of Hypnotist and became certified in 2005. This career has been very fulfilling. It is the greatest joy to give a healthier, freer, happier life to so many people that I have touched, in mind, spirit and body.
I
continue to strive toward understanding, my latest coarse was with the University of Penn Mindfullness Program. It is a great future, as the world embrasses healhy living with all their mind, spirit and body, along with medicine.
I
have been with Main Line Therapeutic Massage and Spa since September of 1999. I received my Bachelors of Science from West Chester University, but knew my true calling was in massage therapy. I attended The Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy and became a certified massage therapist in 1999. With over 11 years of experience, I have developed my own approach to massage. I incorporate varying styles into my Swedish base customizing each session. I believe that I have a firm, nurturing, and compassionate touch. It is my goal to have you leave feeling relaxed, refreshed, and a little lighter! I love what I do and feel that it shows in my work.
S
ome of my favorite things to do are running, biking, hiking and spending time with my dogs. I enjoy reading and live music.
I
have been practicing professional Swedish massage for over 10 years and professional
skin care for 5 years at Main Line Therapeutic Massage. I first became interested in this
field by watching and learning from my mother, whom owns and operates this unique
practice. I am experienced in both therapeutic and deep tissue massage, massage with
hot stones and prenatal massage. I am familiar with a large variety of skin care products
and have taken several continued education workshops in Thai/Yoga Body work. My
favorite part of practicing in the massage arts is the opportunity I get on a regular basis to
rejuvenate people not just physically, but mentally as well. I feel that if everyone received
regular massage, the world would be a better place.
O
n a more personal note, I spend the rest of my time raising a wonderful 6 year
old daughter and helping my husband run a restaurant we own; Kaya’s Fusion Cuisine in Havertown. I also
have a true passion for the arts in any shape or form and dabble in them as often as time
allows.
